A literatura é um direito humano, como bem definiu o grande brasileiro Antonio Candido, em seu ensaio ‘Direito à Literatura’", ressaltou o presidente.</p><p>» Discurso lido pelo presidente Lula</p><p>Lula pontuou que toda criança tem o direito à leitura e a se tornar um jovem e um adulto leitor. “Por isso, cada uma das 6 mil bibliotecas públicas e comunitárias do Brasil vai receber um acervo inicial de 800 exemplares de obras literárias. E, a partir de agora, os novos conjuntos habitacionais do Minha Casa, Minha Vida ganharão bibliotecas com 500 livros à disposição das famílias”, afirmou. “São, neste primeiro momento, mais de 5,5 milhões de exemplares espalhados pelo Brasil. Eu estava falando sério quando disse, durante a campanha, que queria um Brasil com mais livros e menos armas”, completou.</p><p>MAIS LIVROS — No evento, o ministro da Educação, Camilo Santana, autorizou o novo edital do Programa Nacional do Livro e do Material Didático, o PNLD Equidade, bem como a suplementação de R$ 50 milhões para a compra de acervos literários do PNLD Educação Infantil. “É um grande edital para a compra e distribuição de livros que levem em conta a diversidade brasileira e tragam com bastante força a literatura indígena, quilombola, ribeirinha, do campo e das florestas. Enfim, as muitas formas de ser brasileiro que esse país acolhe”, definiu Santana.</p><p>DECRETO - O decreto do PNLE prevê o fortalecimento de ações integradas entre o Ministério da Educação (MEC) e o Ministério da Cultura (MinC) para fomento da leitura, como o PNLD. “Estamos trabalhando na democratização do acesso ao livro. Como diz o senhor [presidente Lula], isso é investimento, não é gasto. A leitura e a literatura promovem transformação, qualificam pensamento e emancipam o ser humano na cadeia social”, destacou a ministra da Cultura, Margareth Menezes.</p><p>PLANO NACIONAL DE LIVRO E LEITURA - A regulamentação também trata da construção de um novo Plano Nacional de Livro e Leitura (PNLL). Idealizado em 2011, o PNLL é um planejamento de caráter interministerial entre o MEC e o MinC que define um conjunto amplo de ações voltadas à valorização do livro e da leitura, a serem executadas pelo Estado e pela sociedade. Atualmente, não há PNLL em vigência no Brasil. O próximo plano decenal, que vai vigorar entre 2025 e 2034, será construído a partir de discussões e escutas qualificadas da sociedade civil em todo o país. A primeira reunião de escuta popular ocorre também durante a cerimônia na Bienal.</p><p>DESENVOLVIMENTO - Segundo Camilo Santana, pesquisas internacionais apontam que o investimento em políticas públicas para a leitura e expansão das bibliotecas movimenta a economia e acelera o desenvolvimento de um país. “Além disso, nós também sabemos do impacto do acesso à leitura na vida das pessoas. A leitura acelera e amplia o desenvolvimento integral das pessoas”, assinalou o ministro.</p><p></p><p>Ver essa foto no Instagram</p><p>Uma publicação compartilhada por Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (@lulaoficial)</p><p>MINHA CASA, MINHA VIDA – Durante o evento, também foi celebrado Protocolo de Intenções entre o Ministério das Cidades e o MinC para a implementação de salas para biblioteca em empreendimentos habitacionais do Programa Minha Casa, Minha Vida (MCMV) em suas linhas de atendimento de provisão subsidiada em áreas urbanas (MCMV-FAR e MCMV-Entidades).</p><p>“Nesse novo ciclo do programa, as preocupações vão além de garantir apenas a moradia. É nosso dever também garantir o acesso à cultura, lazer e a qualidade de vida do nosso povo. As bibliotecas agora serão obrigatórias em todos os condomínios do Minha Casa, Minha Vida”, salientou o ministro das Cidades, Jader Filho.</p><p>As bibliotecas estarão associadas ao Sistema Nacional de Bibliotecas Públicas. Serão implementadas 1,5 mil bibliotecas, com entregas previstas a partir do segundo semestre de 2025 até o fim de 2026. Cada unidade terá cerca de 500 livros (750 mil livros no total), selecionados pelo PNLD Literário – Mais Bibliotecas Públicas e Comunitárias FNDE/MEC.</p><p>PNLD – Entre as ações que serão fomentadas com o decreto assinado pelo presidente nesta quinta-feira, o Programa Nacional do Livro e do Material Didático figura como a política educacional mais antiga, criada em 1937. O PNLD avalia e disponibiliza obras didáticas, pedagógicas e literárias (entre outros materiais de apoio à prática educativa) de forma regular e gratuita às escolas públicas de educação básica. Neste ano, por meio do Decreto nº 12.021/2024, o programa foi ampliado: agora, inclui aquisição de acervos também para bibliotecas públicas e comunitárias.</p><p>Em 2023, o orçamento executado para o programa foi de R$ 2,4 bilhões. Para 2024, foram adquiridos 209 milhões de livros, destinados a mais de 31 milhões de estudantes. Ainda está previsto o investimento de outros R$ 2,1 bilhões, dos quais R$ 1,33 bilhão já foi empenhado até agosto. No total, o Governo Federal já destinou, nestes dois anos de gestão, mais de R$ 4,5 bilhões para garantir que todas as escolas públicas recebam livros de qualidade. A distribuição de livros didáticos neste ano teve um aumento de 79% em relação ao último atendimento.</p><p><img src="https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53973356907_118c7ba954_b.jpg" rel="noopener noreferrer"></p><p>EDITAIS – O MEC, em cooperação com o Fundo Nacional de Desenvolvimento da Educação (FNDE), publica editais referentes aos processos de aquisição de materiais didáticos para atendimento das etapas de educação básica, de forma alternada. Atualmente, estão em andamento nove editais do PNLD, que abrangem desde a educação infantil até o ensino médio, incluindo a compra de livros em braile para a educação especial. A seleção voltada à aquisição de materiais didáticos para a educação de jovens e adultos (EJA) será realizada após dez anos sem renovação dos acervos. Ainda está previsto o lançamento de um edital para aquisição de livros literários que abordem temas voltados à promoção da equidade, como a história e cultura dos povos indígenas e afro-brasileiros, além da disseminação dos direitos humanos.</p><p>LIVRO DIGITAL – O MEC também está lançando um portal para edições digitais dos livros do Programa Nacional do Livro e do Material Didático, o PNLD Digital. Em um primeiro momento, o acervo estará disponível a professores dos anos iniciais do ensino fundamental, que no portal terão acesso a todos os livros didáticos escolhidos para suas turmas. Os demais segmentos da educação básica também serão contemplados. A entrega de exemplares impressos, já assegurada de forma universal a todas as escolas, não será descontinuada.</p><p>ACESSIBILIDADE - Os livros do PNLD Digital contarão com recursos de acessibilidade para garantir o acesso a todos os estudantes. Além disso, o modelo de distribuição on-line (construído por um trabalho conjunto com o mercado editorial, as redes de ensino, as universidades e o FNDE) vai proteger os direitos autorais dos autores e os dados dos alunos.</p><p>MOVCEU – O PNLD está presente, ainda, nos acervos das vans do MovCEU, equipamento cultural itinerante que inclui biblioteca, estúdio de produção audiovisual, cinema de rua e palco para apresentações diversas. Foram destinados 2 mil exemplares do PNLD Literário para compor as bibliotecas dos veículos, que irão circular entre cidades, assentamentos rurais, territórios afastados dos centros urbanos e áreas periféricas de até 20 mil habitantes.</p><p>OUTRAS AÇÕES – O Compromisso Nacional Criança Alfabetizada (CNCA) também prevê ações para a promoção da leitura na infância, com a construção de Cantinhos da Leitura. O MEC já investiu mais de R$ 156 milhões, por meio do Programa Dinheiro Direto na Escola (PDDE), para aquisição de estantes, tapetes, almofadas, decoração e livros-brinquedos, o que está possibilitando a implementação do projeto em mais de 38 mil escolas. Em 2024, serão aportados outros R$ 4,8 milhões. A previsão é que sejam implementados cerca de 136 mil Cantinhos da Leitura em todo o país.</p><p>PNLE – A Política Nacional de Leitura e Escrita é uma estratégia permanente de promoção do livro, da leitura, da escrita, da literatura e das bibliotecas de acesso público no Brasil. Foi instituída pela Lei nº 13.696/2018 para reunir e coordenar as iniciativas nessa área, historicamente implementadas pelo governo federal. 2705198	无图 <p> <p>Nesta sexta-feira, 6 de setembro, o presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva está em Goiânia (GO), junto aos ministros Jader Filho (Cidades) e Camilo Santana (Educação), para acompanhar a entrega de um trecho de 17 km do BRT Norte-Sul e anunciar novos investimentos para todas as etapas da educação em Goiás. O início da programação está prevista para 12h, na antiga Estação Ferroviária de Goiânia.</p><p>O trecho a ser inaugurado contou com investimentos da União no montante de R$ 140 milhões e, incluindo recursos da gestão municipal, totalizam R$ 321,7 milhões. A implantação do BRT Norte-Sul é considerada uma prioridade dentro do Plano Diretor de Transporte. Inicialmente, a operação começará com média de 50 mil passageiros por dia, o que equivale a 1,5 milhão por mês.</p><p>Na área da Educação, os recursos somam R$ 820 milhões e são provenientes do Novo Programa de Aceleração do Crescimento (Novo PAC). Na educação básica, serão feitos aportes de R$ 535,8 milhões para aquisição de ônibus escolares e construção de creches e escolas de tempo integral. Ainda serão destinados recursos para melhorias na infraestrutura das universidades federais, um montante de R$ 142,4 milhões. Já para consolidação e expansão dos institutos federais (IFs) no estado, estão sendo investidos R$ 141,8 milhões.</p><p>CONFORTO E SEGURANÇA — As áreas norte e noroeste de Goiânia, mais afastadas do centro da capital, serão muito beneficiadas com o novo BRT pela sua rapidez, além do conforto e segurança. Com os novos terminais do BRT será permitido um melhor atendimento dos bairros ao longo do seu percurso.</p><p>Aliado a isso, as estações possuem Wi-Fi gratuito e tomadas para carregamento de celular (com porta USB), além de painéis e totens informativos e interativos que exibem o tempo de chegada do ônibus em tempo real. Todo o sistema possui câmeras de segurança com monitoramento 24h por dia, incluindo ônibus, terminais e estações.</p><p>Durante a cerimônia de entrega da obra, também será assinada a portaria de seleção de proposta no âmbito do programa Novo PAC – Mobilidade Urbana, no sub-eixo “Renovação de Frota - Setor Privado”. A medida contempla a aquisição de 125 novos ônibus com tecnologia Euro 6, com financiamento de R$ 95,4 milhões via Fundo de Garantia do Tempo de Serviço (FGTS). Os novos veículos beneficiarão diretamente Goiânia e a região metropolitana.</p><p>POLÍTICA HABITACIONAL — Na ocasião, o Ministério das Cidades fará o anúncio de investimentos de R$ 189,8 milhões no setor habitacional, com a assinatura da portaria que autoriza a contratação de 1.232 unidades habitacionais do programa Minha Casa, Minha Vida (MCMV). A autorização beneficia a população dos municípios de Rio Verde, Aparecida de Goiânia e Goiânia.</p><p>INSTITUTOS FEDERAIS — Os institutos federais de Goiás (IFG) e o Goiano (IF Goiano) já estão executando parte do orçamento total, de R$ 66,8 milhões (para obras de melhoria na infraestrutura das unidades existentes). Mais R$ 75 milhões serão destinados à construção de dois campi do IFG, nos municípios de Quirinópolis e Cavalcante; e de um campus do IF Goiano, em Porangatu.</p><p>As novas unidades, que terão suas pedras fundamentais lançadas durante a cerimônia desta sexta-feira, irão gerar 4.200 vagas, prioritariamente de cursos técnicos integrados ao ensino médio. Entre 2023 e o primeiro semestre de 2024, o Ministério da Educação (MEC) repassou R$ 37 milhões para a consolidação dos dois institutos, contemplando a construção de restaurantes estudantis, blocos pedagógicos (salas de aula e laboratórios), quadras poliesportivas, entre outras obras.</p><p>Até 2026, está previsto o aporte de mais R$ 29,7 milhões para a consolidação das instituições, com a construção de outros sete restaurantes estudantis e da sede definitiva da reitoria do IF Goiano.</p><p>O IFG conta, atualmente, com 14 campi e um polo de inovação; e o IF Goiano, com 12 campi e um polo de inovação. Atendem, no total, mais de 38 mil estudantes. Com a expansão, o estado terá 31 unidades integradas à Rede Federal de Educação Profissional, Científica e Tecnológica.</p><p>UNIVERSIDADES — Do total de recursos repassados pela União, a Universidade Federal de Goiás (UFG) investirá R$ 60 milhões na criação de um novo campus na Cidade Ocidental, entorno do Distrito Federal. Serão construídos também um alojamento para estudantes indígenas no campus de Goiânia e um centro de aulas no campus da cidade de Goiás. Além disso, a universidade vai investir em reformas no restaurante universitário da Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia do campus de Aparecida de Goiânia.</p><p>Em junho de 2024, o Governo Federal anunciou o investimento de R$ 5,5 bilhões para a consolidação e expansão das universidades e dos hospitais universitários federais. O recurso é parte do Novo PAC e será dirigido à criação de dez novos campi universitários espalhados pelas cinco regiões do país, assim como a melhorias na infraestrutura de todas as 69 universidades federais. Além disso, está sendo repassado R$ 1,75 bilhão para realização de obras em 31 hospitais universitários da Empresa Brasileira de Serviços Hospitalares (Ebserh), sendo oito novos. </p><p>EDUCAÇÃO BÁSICA — Do valor destinado à educação básica de Goiás, R$ 13,3 milhões serão repassados para aquisição de 27 ônibus escolares, que beneficiarão 27 municípios. Outros R$ 345,4 milhões irão financiar a construção de novas creches em 79 cidades, uma por município. O investimento executado até abril de 2024 já chega até R$ 12,2 bilhões. O mínimo que a gente pode garantir ao povo brasileiro é o direito de ser feliz”, afirmou.</p><p>“Quero construir um país e mostrar que o povo brasileiro pode tomar café, almoçar e jantar todo dia. Quero provar que uma filha de empregada doméstica pode disputar uma vaga na universidade com o filho de sua patroa. Quero mostrar que, neste país, um ajudante de pedreiro pode disputar uma vaga com o filho do engenheiro. A única coisa que eu quero é dar igualdade de oportunidade para as pessoas e que vença o melhor, aquele que tem condições. Eu quero um país da cor que ele é: preto, branco e pardo. E que todo mundo se trate com muito respeito. 2705186	无图 Jakarta (ANTARA) - <meta>Two new hospitals opened in Makassar, South Sulawesi, on Friday will serve as "superhubs" for the eastern regions of Indonesia, Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin has said.</p><p>While delivering a speech at the launch of the Health Ministry"s Makassar Hospital, which was accessed online via the Presidential Secretariat"s channel here on Friday, the minister said that the two new hospitals are part of the 10 facilities that the government will inaugurate before October 2024.</p><p>"Today is part of the launching series, which is the seventh and eighth hospitals out of 10 that the President has planned to inaugurate before October," he added.</p><p>The 10 hospitals are expected to improve the quality of health services and ensure equitable health access for people living in Indonesia"s eastern regions.</p><p>The Health Ministry"s Makassar Hospital will function as a center for treating cancer, stroke, and cardiovascular diseases.</p><p>"This facility will serve patients from the Maluku, Papua, and Kalimantan regions, hence, reducing the need for patient referral to hospitals in Java or Jakarta," Sadikin informed.</p><p>According to the minister, there are several government hospitals in Kalimantan, Papua, and Maluku, but if patients require treatment with more modern equipment and more qualified doctors, they can now be referred to the superhub hospital in Makassar.</p><p>He informed that the Makassar Hospital is equipped with advanced technology and competent health workers. 2705185	无图 Jakarta (ANTARA) - <meta>Climate change could cause a decline of up to 10 percent in Indonesia"s gross domestic product (GDP) by 2025, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati has warned.</p><p>Such a decline would occur if climate change is not addressed promptly, she added.</p><p>"Every time we try to increase GDP by 3 percent, as in 2024 and 2025, it requires significant effort, especially with many negative risks like climate change," she said during the Indonesia International Sustainability Forum (ISF) 2024 in Jakarta on Friday.</p><p>She emphasized that a 10 percent GDP decline would not only impact the economy but also hinder efforts to reduce poverty and create jobs, particularly for the younger generation.</p><p>Additionally, rising global temperatures, which can increase the frequency of natural disasters, could damage infrastructure, rendering it unfit for use. The cost of repairs would be substantial.</p><p>Climate change could also trigger sociopolitical instability, with poor communities being the most affected. It could widen social disparities and heighten political tensions.</p><p>"So, we understand that climate change needs to be addressed immediately. ASEAN, in this case, is a region experiencing economic growth and resilience but is not immune to the threats of climate change and geopolitics," Indrawati explained.</p><p>She also highlighted the vulnerability of the ASEAN region to the impacts of the climate crisis.</p><p>The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has estimated that ASEAN"s GDP could fall by up to 11 percent due to climate change.</p><p>Although ASEAN accounts for only around 7 percent of global emissions, it must continue its development efforts while simultaneously working to reduce CO2 emissions.</p><p>She stressed the urgency of addressing climate change, especially since the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) reported that 2023 was the hottest year on record.</p><p>"Decarbonization efforts in ASEAN must prioritize optimizing public and private investment," Indrawati said. 2705180	有图 Jakarta (ANTARA) - Economic cooperation between Indonesia and Taiwan has emerged as a pivotal force in driving growth and innovation in both regions.</p><p>As two dynamic players in Asia’s economic landscape, their partnership is built on complementary strengths, with Indonesia’s abundant natural resources and vast market and Taiwan"s advanced technological expertise and manufacturing capabilities.</p><p>Over the years, this collaboration has evolved beyond traditional trade, encompassing investment, industrial development, and cutting-edge sectors, such as renewable energy and digital technology.</p><p>Together, Indonesia and Taiwan are forging a strategic alliance that promises mutual prosperity and long-term sustainability.</p><p>Rich in natural resources that are in high demand, such as palm oil and coal, Indonesia has been the only Southeastern Asian country that makes Taiwan run a trade deficit in the past few years.</p><p>On account of its advantage in resources, Indonesia has attracted about 10 thousand Taiwanese businesspersons and technicians to work in Indonesia. In addition, more than two thousand Taiwanese-funded enterprises are setting up their branches in Indonesia.</p><p>Since signing the Agreement for the Promotion and Protection of Investments in 1990 and the Agreement for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion in 1995, Taiwan has always been an important economic partner for Indonesia.</p><p>According to Taiwan’s customs statistics, the total trade between Taiwan and Indonesia in 2023 amounted to US$10.421 billion (around Rp161 trillion), a decrease of 27.76 percent from 2022, placing Indonesia as Taiwan’s 13th-largest trading partner.</p><p>Indonesia’s exports to Taiwan mainly involve palm oil, coal, and natural rubber, while Taiwan’s exports to Indonesia include electronic products, machinery, and textiles.</p><p>Within the total trade amount, Indonesia’s exports to Taiwan in 2023 were worth US$7.4 billion (around Rp115 trillion), a decrease of 33.91 percent from 2022, with Taiwan running a trade deficit of US$4.4 billion (around Rp68 trillion), making Indonesia the 12th-largest importer of Taiwan.</p><p>The major items from Indonesia to Taiwan, in the order of importance, include mineral fuels, at 36 percent; iron and steel, at 30 percent; and electrical machinery, equipment, parts thereof, at 5 percent.</p><p>On the other hand, in 2023, Taiwan’s exports to Indonesia amounted to US$3 billion (around Rp46 trillion), making it Taiwan’s 17th-largest exporter.</p><p>The major export items in order of importance were electrical machinery and equipment and parts thereof at 18 percent; machinery and mechanical appliances, 14 percent; plastics and products thereof, 10 percent; and iron and steel and mineral fuels, respectively at 7 percent.</p><p>According to the Deputy Representative of the Taipei Economic & Trade Office in Indonesia (TETO), Sheng-Peng Chen, being the only Southeast Asian country that is a G20 member, Indonesia has always been considered the leader of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), with a population of 270 million and GDP ranking of 16th in the G20.</p><p>“Taiwan’s economic and trade relations with Indonesia are very important, and in fact, the current bilateral trade between Taiwan and Indonesia still has a lot of room for relative growth,” Chen told Antara during an exclusive interview.</p><p>As Chen explained, the office has been promoting bilateral economic and trade work between Taiwan and Indonesia through several aspects, including official and unofficial ones.</p><p>“We currently have a dialogue mechanism at the undersecretary level of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, and dialogues between the private sectors and the government dealing upon topics, such as food and steel, are also far from less, which are all in line with the needs of both sides to create a win-win situation,” Chen stated.</p><p>Chen explained that in the trade relations between Indonesia and Taiwan, the latter ran a deficit of around US$3.1 to 5 billion (around Rp48 trillion to Rp77 trillion) every year, as Taiwan imported a huge amount of coal, palm oil, natural gas, and other raw materials from Indonesia.</p><p>“The situation is different every year because it is not necessary (for Taiwan) to import a lot of raw materials every year, so the total import amount probably fluctuates a bit,” Chen remarked.</p><p>According to statistics, the top 25 items that Taiwan and Indonesia import and export to each other are occupied mostly by iron and steel products.</p><p>“Both our exports and imports from Indonesia are mostly iron and steel because our structure is an upstream and downstream one, and also, Indonesia produces oil but cannot refine oil itself, so it has to be sent to Taiwan first and then sent back to Indonesia for processing, and that is why you can see them taking a large percentage in the top 25,” Chen explained.</p><p>Apart from the trade aspect, Indonesia and Taiwan also have strong relations in the sector of foreign investment.</p><p>According to Indonesia"s Ministry of Investment, 1,938 investment agreements were recorded in Indonesia in 2023, with a capital of US$190 million (around Rp2.9 trillion), a decline of 20 percent from US$236 million (around Rp3.7 trillion) in 2022, while Taiwan’s share of Indonesia’s total foreign investment was about 0.4 percent, ranking 18th.</p><p>Regarding Taiwan’s investment in Indonesia, Chen explained that official data indicated Singapore as being Indonesia"s biggest foreign investor, as many countries invest in Indonesia through Singapore, though Taiwan’s ranking in this sector is, in fact, higher.</p><p>“Our investment in Indonesia is actually not as insignificant as ranking in the 18th position. It is the result of judging from the surface, (though) in reality, I believe it is in the top 10,” Chen remarked.</p><p>In Chen’s opinion, Indonesia also understands the potential of Taiwanese capital’s investment strength due to which Indonesia’s Minister of Investment Bahlil Lahadalia had insisted on visiting Taiwan even during the COVID-19 pandemic.</p><p>“He went to Taiwan to get the Foxconn Technology Group to invest in the electric cars industry in Indonesia, and back then, he did not go anywhere but just stayed in his hotel, and then people from Foxconn went to visit him. ANTARA FOTO/FIKRI YUSUF</p><p>Education cooperation</p><p>Apart from the commercial section, Taiwan and Indonesia are also bound in the aspect of education.</p><p>According to data provided by TETO, 16,725 Indonesian students are currently studying in Taiwan, ranking Indonesia as the second-biggest foreign student population in Taiwan.</p><p>Taiwan mainly cooperates with Indonesia in the field of education through three strategies: encouraging overseas students to study in Taiwan, promoting overseas Chinese language education, and promoting Taiwan-Indonesia academic and educational exchanges.</p><p>“Taiwan has invested a lot of resources in the educational area because Taiwan’s birth rate is decreasing while schools are closing down, so how can we attract foreign students to study in Taiwan has become even more important,” Chen explained.</p><p>Taiwan currently provides various kinds of scholarships for foreign students to study in Taiwan, including the MOE Taiwan Scholarship Program, the Huayu Enrichment Scholarship Program (HES), and scholarships from the International Cooperation and Development Fund (ICDF).</p><p>This August, eight other students received scholarships from ICDF to complete their master"s and doctoral degrees in Taiwan.</p><p>“We receive hundreds of applicants for the ICDF program every year, which are usually research and academia-oriented,” Chen remarked.</p><p>“For example, this year, we have applicants who want to study Disaster Management and Geology, and since they are academically qualified enough, we thus provide them with two-year and four-year scholarships to study in Taiwan,” Chen added.</p><p>Even with a rather positive picture in the commercial and educational sectors, Chen pointed out that potential challenges still exist in the relations between Taiwan and Indonesia.</p><p>According to Chen, Indonesia is fortunate to have rich natural resources, and Taiwan’s advantage is having strong human capital, so in most cases, the economic relationship is complementary.</p><p>“However, relative challenges, such as some problems in the administrative procedures, still exist, and because Indonesia is still a developing country, there may still be room for improvement in the investment environment,” Chen explained.</p><p>While both opportunities and challenges are intertwined in bilateral relations, Chen still looks forward to the future development of relations between Taiwan and Indonesia.</p><p>“For the following years, I think the areas having the potential to develop are not just limited to the trade and investment sectors but also to tourism, education, and so on, and I believe progress made in the cooperation will just be even more,” Chen remarked.</p><p>Tightly bound in the trade, investment, and education domains, the partnership between Indonesia and Taiwan has already been inseparable.</p><p>With increasingly more number of young Indonesian adults pursuing their degrees in Taiwan, the exchange of both knowledge and cultures is expected to grow at an even faster pace.</p><p>In summary, the economic and education cooperation between Indonesia and Taiwan has flourished into a dynamic partnership that benefits both regions.</p><p>Through robust trade, investment in key industries, and collaboration in emerging sectors, such as renewable energy and digital technology, Taiwan and Indonesia are building a future of shared growth.</p><p>As they continue to deepen their economic ties, this relationship will play a crucial role in strengthening not only their respective economies but also their positions in the broader Asian market.</p><p>With a foundation of mutual trust and complementary strengths, the economic cooperation between Indonesia and Taiwan is set to thrive and evolve in the years ahead.</p><p>Editor: Bayu Prasetyo</p><p> Copyright © ANTARA 2024</p> Strengthening ties: Economic cooperation between Indonesia and Taiwan - ANTARA News	查看 10810	安塔拉通讯社	2024-09-06 23:09:19 2024-09-07 06:51:21	word

2705178	无图 If corn productivity in general only reaches 9 tons per hectare, then by usingJagung Brawijaya Nusaseeds, the increase in productivity can reach above 30 percent.Malang, E Java (ANTARA) - <meta>An expert from the Faculty of Agriculture of Brawijaya University, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), Prof. Arifin, has developed hybrid corn seeds for animal feed that have a high yield and faster harvest cycle.</p><p>"If corn productivity in general only reaches 9 tons per hectare, then by using <i>Jagung Brawijaya Nusa</i> seeds, the increase in productivity can reach above 30 percent," Arifin informed here on Friday.</p><p>Two types of seeds, namely <i>Nusa 1</i> and <i>Nusa 3, </i>have been developed as part of the innovation<i>. </i>Both have higher productivity compared to regular corn seeds.</p><p>"<i>Brawijaya Nusa</i> corn seeds can produce up to 12.9 tons (of corn) per hectare and 13.7 tons per hectare compared to corn seeds in general, which are only 9 tons per hectare," he said.</p><p>Initially, five types of seeds were proposed, but only two passed the test of the Ministry of Agriculture.</p><p>The seeds were found suitable for dry land areas, such as in NTT, particularly Sumba and Timor, according to him.</p><p>"NTT is a potential area forplanting corn ... but its productivity is still low. If the national average production is 5.8 to 5.9 tons of corn per hectare, in NTT, it is only 2.3 tons per hectare," he pointed out.</p><p>Therefore, the innovative technology from the Maize Research Center (MRC) is expected to boost the national production of corn for animal feed.</p><p>The process of creating the hybrid seeds began in 2022 at NTT. Arifin and his team then introduced the seed producing and cultivation technology to local farmers.</p><p>This year, the farmers started to see added value from the field corn seeds.</p><p>"However, we need to cooperate with the private sector because the seeds, varieties, and technology were from the university, but for the business to be managed properly, it is necessary to collaborate with the private sector by involving the farmers," Arifin said.</p><p>He added that the corn developed in NTT is a sweet and glutinous type of field corn.</p><p>"We call it field corn because 70 percent of it is used for feeding cattle, but it does not mean that it cannot be consumed by humans. And the trade balance has experienced a consecutive surplus," he noted.</p><p>He emphasized the significant role of the younger generation in supporting the use of local products by promoting the national movement of proudly using Indonesian products on social media.</p><p>"The younger generation can also play role of ambassadors for local products by buying and using local products.
